China is prepared to negotiate a free-trade agreement with the EU

China is willing to negotiate and sign a free-trade agreement with the European Union (EU), Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced on Tuesday during a meeting with his Estonian counterpart in Beijing.

“China and Europe are partners in cooperation,” Wang Yi said, adding that the two sides should not be rivals, according to a statement issued by China’s foreign ministry.
