Barcelona opens store in Hamirpur

Menswear brand Barcelona has opened an exclusive brand outlet in Hamirpur’s Vivek Nagar district. The new store bolsters the brand’s growing brick-and-mortar presence in Uttar Pradesh. 

“Get your monsoon style sorted at the latest Barcelona store,” the brand announced on Facebook on August 3. “Come by and explore layers of ‘Stor-my Style’ from the new collection.”
 
Located at Meher Kothi, the new store opened with a large banner displaying the brand’s recently announced celebrity ambassador, Sonu Sood. Inside the store, there are segments for trousers, casual graphic t-shirts, and printed shirts from Barcelona’s new summer collection. 

Barcelona has been expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint at a swift pace this year. In June, the brand opened its first store in Goa and has also opened stores in cities including Pune, Visnagar, Mahoba, Kota, and Dapoli among others. 
 
The brand is also gearing up to launch an initial public offering in the near future, although a date has yet to be set. The brand received a Rs 5 crore equity-free capital investment from GetVantage in April this year and plans to use the funding to fuel its continued brick-and-mortar expansion across India. 

Entrepreneur Jaimin Gupta launched Barcelona in 2015 in Ahmedabad. The brand specialises in men’s western wear including denim and polo shirts as well as semi formal wear and accessories.
