Asics announces partnership with Sumit Nagal at Lucknow event

Japanese sports and performance wear brand Asics has announced its partnership with tennis player Sumit Nagal to underline its commitment to nurturing India’s tennis talent. The brand made the announcement at an event at its official store in Lucknow, attended by Nagal. 

“We are thrilled to partner with Sumit Nagal, a true champion of the sport,” said Asics’ managing director for India and South Asia Rajat Khurana in a press release. “Sumit’s dedication and passion for tennis are unmatched, and we are confident that he will continue to achieve great things. We are proud to support Sumit on his journey to the top, and we look forward to seeing him succeed. Asics is committed to supporting tennis talent in India, and we are proud to add Sumit to our growing roster of athletes. We believe that Sumit is a role model for aspiring tennis players in India, and we are excited to see what he accomplishes in the years to come.” 
 
As part of the partnership, Nagal will wear Asics apparel and footwear during his training and competitions. Asics has already announced its support for Indian tennis players Rohan Bopanna and Karman Kaur Thandi.

 Asics retails in India through 88 stores and its e-commerce website. The brand was founded in 1949 in Japan by Kihachiro Onitsuka.
