Uppercase celebrated both Indian-made and sustainable design on the runway at Sony Hall in New York, US on February 6, the brand announced in a press release. The showcase was designed to present ‘Made in India’ products to a global audience and position luggage as a vibrant vehicle for self expression and personal style.

“New York Fashion Week is a dream platform, and we’re incredibly proud to share Uppercase’s ‘Made in India’ story with the world,” said Uppercase’s founder and managing director Sudip Ghose in a press release. “For us, design isn’t just about how something looks- it’s about how it’s made and the impact it leaves behind. We’re proving that travel gear can be bold, stylish, and sustainable all at once. Our NYFW debut is just the beginning of this journey.”

Influencers Pooja Mundhra and Mehak Ghaii walked as Uppercase’s showstoppers and pulled bright suitcases down the runway. The brand’s ‘Rock Suitcase’ collection, which debuted at the event, turned organic inspirations into neutral toned, textured suitcases. For its new ‘Vector Suitcase’ line, Uppercase launched structured suitcases with vertical corner lines and a bold look.

Sudip Ghose launched Uppercase in 2021. The brand retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store as well as outlets in major cities such as its store in Mumbai’s R City Mall which opened its doors in December last year.
