SS Beauty to open first Prada Beauty store in India

Shoppers Stop’s beauty business SS Beauty will open its first Prada Beauty store in India. Slated to launch in New Delhi this winter, the store will retail Prada Beauty’s range of colour cosmetics and skincare goods, produced through a licensing agreement with French cosmetics giant L’Oréal.

“The first Prada beauty boutique is signed and the work is in progress at Nexus Select Citywalk,” Shoppers Stop’s chief executive officer Biju Kassim told India Retailing. “We are trying to open it before Christmas.”
 
Prada Beauty is the makeup brand of Italian luxury fashion brand Prada and is inspired by the label’s modern and quirky aesthetics. Global SS Beauty Brands Limited has entered into a distribution agreement with L’Oreal International Division to retail select beauty and fragrance brands from the business in India, including Prada along with Atelier Cologne Paris, Viktor & Rolf, Azzaro, and Giorgio Armani among others.

“We will have more boutiques coming in but at this point, this is the store we are focussing on,” said Kassim. “There will also be shop-in-shops and gondolas in leading beauty stores but that is for later.”
 
Prada Beauty will join a range of international and Indian fashion and beauty brands at Nexus Select Citywalk including Bath & Body Works, Massimo Dutti, Croma, Beverly Hills Polo Club, FabIndia, Pantaloons, and Hush Puppies among others, according to its Facebook page. The mall is located in New Delhi’s Saket neighbourhood and also houses entertainment facilities and a food court.
