Swedish holistic well-being and personal care brand Oriflame made international connections at the Swedish Networking Reception. The business promoted sustainability at the gathering with a 100% biodegradable stall and highlighted its local production in India.
The event took place at the Swedish Embassy in New Delhi and also featured businesses including H&M, Volvo, and Tetra Pak, Oriflame announced in a press release. The event focused on the theme of sustainability and the role that large-scale Swedish brands play in fostering India-Sweden relations.
Oriflame took the occasion to announce that 85% of its products sold in India are produced locally. The business also shared that 80% of its brand partners are women and that it is committed to contributing to India’s economic and social landscape. Oriflame has a presence in over 60 countries and a network of approximately 3 million independent brand partners.
“We are committed to empowering millions of women by offering them financial independence through our business model,” said Oriflame’s senior vice president and India head Edyta Kurek in a press release. “With 60% of our global workforce being women, we are dedicated to gender equality and uplifting communities through our safe, eco-friendly products that meet both Indian and European standards.”
