Luxury carpet and textile business Jaipur Rugs has launched its fourth international flagship store in Singapore as it continues to expand its global footprint. Jaipur Rugs’ ‘Singapore Gallery’ opened its doors on September 28 on Singapore’s Amoy Street.
“This marks the second international opening in just three months, following the launch of the brand’s London showroom earlier this year, as Jaipur Rugs continues its strategic push into the global design landscape,” announced the brand in a statement, Indian Retailer Bureau reported.
Jaipur Rugs is a family-owned business and was established in 1978. The brand’s international network includes stores in the UK, Dubai, and Italy as well as a retail presence in the US, Russia, and China through sister companies and franchise parters.
“The launch, in tandem with our annual Rug Utsav, symbolises our unwavering commitment to sharing the unparalleled craftsmanship of our artisans with the world,” said Jaipur Rugs’ director Yogesh Chaudhary. “It’s not just about rugs- it’s about preserving a rich cultural heritage, empowering communities, and reshaping the global design narrative.”
Jaipur Rugs also recently took part in the design exhibition Homo Faber 2024 on the private Italian island of San Giorgio Maggiore, which ran from September 1 to 30, the brand announced on Facebook. The event was curated by the Michelangelo Foundation and celebrated contemporary craftsmanship.
