Gucci named former Renault SA executive Gianluca de Ficchy as its new chief financial officer.
De Ficchy will start at the Kering SA brand on Dec. 1, a Gucci representative said by email. He will report to the Italian fashion label’s president and chief executive officer, Francesca Bellettini, the representative added.
The move comes as Kering’s new Chief Executive Officer Luca de Meo seeks to fix the troubled luxury group — Gucci, which account’s for more than half of the company’s profit, has been struggling to rebound. De Meo, Renault’s former CEO, took over at Kering in September.
De Ficchy was most recently CEO of Renault’s Mobilize mobility business that spans auto financing, car-sharing and electric-vehicle charging. He left Renault in October.
Gucci’s former chief financial, data and operations officer, Alberto Valente, left the company in September. He had spent close to 17 years at the brand, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Kering also recently hired Renault’s head of M&A and investor relations, Philippine de Schonen, to lead its IR department.
