Luxury clothing, accessories, and jewellery brand Sabyasachi has launched a flagship store at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills to house its fine jewellery and international collections.
“We are pleased to announce the opening of the new Sabyasachi boutique featuring accessories, fine jewellery, and international collections,” announced the label on Facebook, sharing images of the new store. “Open now!”
The store presents Sabyasachi’s opulent, fusion style designs amongst antiques, books, and spacious seating areas. At first glance, the store resembles a manor house, fitted with chandeliers, vintage lamps, dark wood furniture, paintings, and even a dining table. Along with the eponymous designer’s ‘high jewellery’ line, shoppers can browse clothing designed for Sabyasachi’s global clientele, which has more of a western style influence than the label’s core collections.

Sabyasachi recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, holding a star studded runway show and launching an exclusive ‘high jewellery’ collection to mark the occasion. The brand also announced its plans to become India’s “first global luxury brand.”
“In 2001 I started my business with a small team of three,” announced designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee on Facebook. “I had very little money but an abundance of middle class idealism. Over time, the fortunes changes. The idealism remained. Today Sabyasachi works with over 3,000 artisans from across India who are tirelessly restoring India’s heritage of arts and crafts to its full glory. I have never believed India to be a third world country. We are a first world civilisation, where luxury originated and where it has always belonged. Together we are creating India’s first global luxury brand.”
