L’Oréal India reports double digit net sales income growth in FY24 (#1682189)

Global beauty giant’s Indian arm L’Oréal India saw its net sales income increase by 12.6% to total Rs 5,576.47 crore in the 2024 financial year but its profit marginally declined year on year to Rs 487.46 crore.

L’Oréal India had reported a revenue from operations of Rs 4,952.55 crore in the 2023 financial year, the Press Trust of India reported. The business’ profit in the Indian market had totalled Rs 488.35 crore during the fiscal prior, according to filings made at the Registrar of Companies.
 
The business’ total income, including income coming from sources other than revenue, increased by 13.83% during the 2024 financial year to reach Rs Rs 5,684.60 crore. L’Oréal India’s advertising and promotional costs increased by 23.7% during the 2024 financial year to total Rs 1,714.54 crore compared to Rs 1,385.74 crore in the 2023 financial year, showing that the business is continuing to invest in building brand visibility in the Indian market.
 
L’Oréal India’s brand building activities in the country appear to have born fruit as the business reported that its revenue from the sale of products increased by 14% during the 2024 financial year to Rs 5,368.52 crore compared to Rs 4,711.96 crore in the 2023 financial year. The French multinational business L’Oréal SA owns a 99.99% stake in L’Oréal India, which has operated in India since 1994.
