Converse opens first India EBO in Mumbai

Global footwear and lifestyle brand Converse has launched its first exclusive brand outlet in India. Located on Mumbai’s Linking Road, the store opened its doors to the public with a star studded inauguration party.

“All the stars showed up for the grand Converse store launch at Linking Road,” announced events planning business Orion M&C on Facebook, sharing photos of the event. “The scene was buzzing with epic fashion, killer style, great music, and the coolest crews in town.”
 
The store was launched in collaboration with Bhaane Group and gives Indian shoppers the chance to browse Converse’s signature sneakers and casual wear in an immersive setting. Converse’s classic ‘Chuck Taylor All Star’ and ‘One Star’ collections are available in the store and a large size sneaker installation by Kartik Research’s Kartik Kumra, made in collaboration with Ajrakh block printing artist Sarfaraz Khatri and set designer Disha Dey, adds a bold touch to the space.
 
Converse’s new India brand ambassadors Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor attended the launch event alongside Bhaane Group co-founders Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja and other names in fashion and the media. While browsing Converse’s latest designs, guests soaked up the ambience of the dynamic space.
