VIP Clothing Ltd reports Q2 net profit of Rs 81 lacs

VIP Clothing Ltd, an innerwear manufacturer and retailer reported a net profit of Rs 81 lacs ($95,977) for the second quarter ended September 30, as against a net loss of Rs 2 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The company’s revenue for the quarter increased by 13 percent to Rs 59 crore, as against Rs 52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Commenting on the results, Sunil Pathare, managing director of VIP Clothing Ltd in a statement said, “In Q2 FY25, revenue from operations grew by 13 percent to Rs 59 crore compared to Rs 52 crore in Q2 FY24. This growth was driven by rising demand for fashionable, comfortable innerwear, higher disposable incomes, and increased awareness of hygiene. Key drivers included the expanding middle class, urbanization, and e-commerce growth.”

“We had recently raised funds to allow us to significantly reduce our finance costs, enabling us to concentrate on boosting sales through market expansion and enhancing margins by achieving economies of scale,” he added.
