Beauty and personal care business Honasa Consumer Limited reported a consolidated loss of Rs 18.57 crore in the second quarter of the 2025 financial year. The business adjusted its revenue for inventory correction during the quarter as it works to optimise its operations.
“Revenue in Q2 stood at Rs 462 crore reflecting around 6.9% growth, while revenue adjusted for inventory correction was Rs 525 crore with the growth rate of 5.7%,” announced Honasa Consumer in its earnings statement, the Press Trust of India reported.
Honasa Consumer is the parent company of personal care and beauty brand Mamaearth and also runs labels including The Derma Co, Aqualogica, Bblunt, and Staze Beauty among others. The business had achieved a profit after tax of Rs 29.43 crore in the second quarter of the 2024 fiscal year, according to its regulatory filing. Honasa Consumer’s total expenses increased by 9.1% year on year in the September quarter this year to reach Rs 506.21 crore.
“In this quarter, we have taken strategic steps towards transitioning from super-stockists to direct distributors in the top 50 cities,” said Honasa Consumer’s CEO and chairman Varun Alagh, India Retailing reported. “This transition has impacted our revenue and profits, leading to a slowdown for Mamaearth.”
