Baazar Style Retail Ltd, a Kolkata-based value fashion retailer narrowed its net loss to Rs 9 crore ($1.1 million) for the quarter ended September 30, as against a net loss of Rs 15 crore posted in the year-ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 65 percent to Rs 311 crore, as against Rs 188 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
During the July-September quarter, the company added 18 new stores in across India taking the total store count to 184 as of September 2024.
Baazar Style Retail plans to strengthen its market position by expanding its store count further through deeper penetration in core markets and forming new clusters in focus markets.
Additionally, the company will focus towards creating differentiation and achieving greater control over product quality of its private labels to further fuel its growth.
Baazar Style’s private label sales share increased to 49 percent of total sales in H1FY25 as compared to H1FY24.
