Emami Ltd reported a 17 percent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 211 crore ($25 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, as against Rs 180 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 3 percent to Rs 891 crore, as against Rs 865 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

For the half-year, Emami’s revenue stood at Rs 1,797 crore with a net profit of Rs 362 crore.

During the quarter, Emami Increased its stake in Helios Lifestyle which owns grooming brand ‘The Man Company’ from 50.4 percent to 98.3 percent. The company also launched 11 new products across categories.

Commenting on the results, Harsha V Agarwal, vice chairman managing director of Emami Ltd in a statemen said, “We are pleased to close the first half of the year with strong performance, achieving 6% revenue growth, 10% EBITDA growth, and a 16% profit increase despite macroeconomic challenges. For H2 FY25, we expect stronger offtakes driven by improved urban demand and stable seasons ahead.”

“Besides good performance of our existing brands, strategic investments and the recent launch of 11 new domestic products are set to boost consumer confidence and drive double-digit revenue growth in the second half,” he added.

Founded in 1974, Emami Ltd offers personal care products through its portfolio of brands that includes Navratna, Boroplus, Fair & Handsome, Zandu Balm, Mentho Plus and Kesh King among others.
