Women’s apparel maker Nandani Creation Ltd (NCL) reported a net profit of Rs 1 crore ($1,18,940) for the quarter ended September 30, as against a net loss of Rs 2 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 92 percent to Rs 18 crore, as against Rs 10 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
During the first half of the fiscal year, the company’s sales from online marketplaces increased by 57 percent while sales from retail stores increased by 65 percent.
Going forward, Nandani Creation will add new sales channels like quick commerce retail and large format retail stores in next two quarters to further fuel its growth.
Commenting on the results, Anuj Mundhra, chairman managing director of NCL in a statement said, “The fashion retail industry in India faced numerous challenges over the past quarters, including subdued customer demand and high inflation, which led to a slowdown in discretionary spending and affected the overall performance of the retail sector.”
“Despite these headwinds, Nandani with its brand Jaipur Kurti delivered a strong performance in the first half, and started the financial year on strong foothold, setting a positive tone for the remaining FY25, which we anticipate will be a catalyst for our business rejuvenation,” he added.
Founded in 2012, Nandani Creation Ltd is Jaipur based online first fashion player offering women Indian wear products under brands Jaipur Kurti, Desi Fusion, and Amaiva.
