TecCos company Yêu Cosmetics forays into Indian beauty market

Technology backed cosmetics company Yêu Cosmetics has launched in the Indian beauty market. Founded by Jharkhand-based entrepreneurial brother-sister duo Simran and Shivam Bagga, the business plans to offer science-backed beauty solutions for all skin types.

“At its core, Yêu believes that beauty is unique to everyone and that one-size-fits-all products do not cater to the individual needs of consumers,” said Yêu Cosmetics’ founder Simran Bagga in a press release. “Each product in Yêu’s line, including our lipsticks and blush, is infused with skincare benefits. More than just enhancing appearance, our mission is to empower people to feel confident in their skin. It’s the journey from self- discovery to self-love, assisted by a deep understanding of skin science.”
 
Yêu Cosmetics has made its retail debut with a direct to customer e-commerce store, stocking its vegan blush and lip duo products. The business plans to next roll out its maiden product selection on a number of multi-brand e-commerce platforms.
 
“Our products aren’t just makeup; they’re a celebration of individuality,” said Bagga. “We’ve crafted each item to empower you, enhance your natural beauty, and inspire confidence in every brushstroke.”
 
Yêu Cosmetics plans to capture between 5% and 7% of the premium cosmetics market in India within the first six months of its launch. The business then plans to expand its product portfolio and tap into emerging markets to reach a revenue total of between Rs 15 crore and Rs 20 crore in two years.
