This season, Pankaj and Nidhi explored the idea and aesthetics of infinity on the runway through glittering, sculptural creations at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. Actor Sharvari Wagh walked as showstopper for the brand and closed the ‘Loop’ showcase.

The ‘Loop’ collection began with smart casual structured jackets and wide leg pants and became progressively more glamorous with embellished evening wear looks. Playing with proportion, garments included kimono bomber jackets, structured cocoon skirts, and jumpsuits with defined waistlines and clean silhouettes.

“The collection has contemporary sensibilities and there was no better choice than Sharvari,” said design duo Pankaj and Nidhi in a press release. “The designs are innovative, featuring structured silhouettes that reflect the essence of our muse. For ‘Loop’ we have played with structures and added dimensions with layers. It is always great to be back at the Lakme Fashion Week and we look forward to it year on year.”

The collection took the infinity loop pattern and turned it into a signature lattice-like textile, used to create structure and drama. Textiles included felted wool, glazed silk organza, and Duchess Satin and colours ranged from burgundy to light blue with swathes of monochrome.

Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India ran from October 9 to 13 in New Delhi. This season, the fashion week featured brands including Tarun Tahiliani, Antar Agni, Samant Chauhan, and Péro among others.
