Fabindia, a leading lifestyle brand has signed a strategic partnership with the ministry of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MoMSME) to provide financial support, skill development, and marketing assistance to traditional artisans across India.
With this partnership, Fabindia will support potters, carpenters, weavers, blacksmiths, tailors, and other skilled craftsmen by expanding their reach in the retail market across India.
Additionally, Fabindia will promote these products through its extensive marketing channels, both online and in physical stores enabling them to reach a larger customer base.
Commenting on the collaboration, MoMSME and Fabindia Ltd in a joint statement said, “The initiative is committed to preserving and promoting Indian craftsmanship and artisans by providing them with the tools, training, and platform they need to thrive in the modern marketplace.”
“With this collaboration, we are sure that it will not only empower artisans but also ensure their crafts receive the recognition and market access they deserve,” it added.
The partnership was signed under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, a program initiated by the Government of India to empower traditional artisans across the country.
