Ethnic apparel retailer Sai Silks Kalamandir Ltd (SSKL) has strengthened its retail footprint in south India with the opening of its new store in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
The store under the Kancheepuram Varamahalakshmi Silks format located on the Mattuthavani main road will offer premium ethnic sarees, handlooms for wedding and occasion wear.
Premium sarees housed at the store include kancheepuram silk sarees, banarasi, patola, kota, paithani, organza, kuppadam, ikkat, bandhani, and many more.
Commenting on the store opening, Prasad Chalavadi, managing director of SSKL in a statement said, “We are delighted to strengthen our retail footprint in southern India by opening 12th store in Tamil Nadu. This shows our commitment to Tamil Nadu for delivering much needed growth by expanding our presence in ever growing ethnic wear market in Tamil Nadu.”
“We believe in the potential of the Tamil Nadu market, and with this store opening we are further establishing ourselves in this dynamic region,” he added.
SSKL operates through four different format stores, namely Kalamandir, Mandir, Varamahalakshmi Silks, and KLM Fashion Mall. It also retails through e-commerce channels that include their websites and e-commerce marketplaces.
