Luggage and accessories brand Uppercase has opened its first two brick-and-mortar stores in India in Bengaluru’s Lulu Mall and Mumbai’s Phoenix Marketcity Mall in Kurla. The business plans to continue to launch offline outlets to reach a pan-India store total of 100 in the coming two years.
“Uppercase kicks off its retail footprint in India,” announced the brand on Facebook. “We’re excited to announce the opening of our very first exclusive retail store in Bangalore! This is the first step in our journey towards our ambitious goal of 100 stores across India. Join us as we bring your favourite brand to the heart of Bangalore.”
Uppercase retails suitcases and backpacks for men, women, and children, made using recycled materials, according to its website. The brand’s products range from bright and graphic to classic and understated to cater to diverse needs.
“This marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide high-quality, sustainable travel gear to the Indian market,” said Uppercase’s founder and managing director Sudip Ghose about the openings, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “These spaces allow us to connect directly with our consumers and showcase our wide range of stylish, innovative, and sustainable bags. The showroom offers customers an immersive experience where they can learn more about the story behind every piece. We are committed to leveraging technology and innovation to transform the travel industry while minimising our environmental impact. Our mission is to promote eco-friendly practices and offer high-quality, responsibly-made products, which is the need of the hour.”
