Delhivery names Prashant Gazipur as senior vice president of operations

Logistics business Delhivery has appointed Prashant Gazipur as its new senior vice president of operations. In his new role, Gazipur will lead growth across its last-mile pickup and delivery operations.

“With the solid operational base, we have built since going public, Prashant’s operational experience and leadership will be instrumental to our immediate and long-term growth,” said Delhivery’s managing director and CEO Sahil Barua, the Press Trust of India reported.
 
In his new position, Gazipur will be responsible for capacity building and operational excellence at Delhivery, India Retailing reported. The executive’s previous job was at Ecom Express where he served as the business’ country head and chief process officer. Gazipur has over 10 years’ of experience in the industry and has also worked for e-commerce businesses including Amazon India, where he worked with the business’ logistics team.  
 
Delhivery has strategic alliances across all major ports in India, the business announced on Facebook. Offering customer support and end-to-end real-time visibility, Delhivery offers cargo pickup from anywhere in India and ships to over 220 countries across the globe.
 
Delhivery also recently announced its eco-conscious partnership with beauty brand Plum across its social media accounts. “Delhivery is proud to partner with Plum for their Empties For Good program,” announced Delhivery on Facebook. “We facilitate reverse pick-up of empty plastic containers shared by Plum customers. To date, Delhivery has empowered Plum and their recycling partner to conserve a remarkable 4.5 tonnes of plastic every year!”
