Skechers launches Patna store with Community Goal Challenge

Footwear brand Skechers has launched an exclusive brand outlet inside Patna’s City Centre Mall to connect with shoppers in Bihar. On July 4, Skechers partnered with NGO Youth Sports Welfare Foundation, actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Ishan Kishan to hold a ‘Skechers Community Goal Challenge’ event.

“Expanding our footprint in Patna with our remarkable store at City Centre Mall represents our commitment to bringing top-notch sportswear and a great shopping experience to our customers,” said Skechers Asia Private Limited’s CEO Rahul Vira in a press release. “The Skechers Community Goal Challenge was an amazing way to connect with the local community, encourage all to stay active, and support the inspiring work of the Youth Sports Welfare Foundation to inspire and empower youngsters to pursue their sport dreams. Seeing everyone come together for such a meaningful cause was truly heartwarming.”
 
The community challenge saw event attendees communally complete a 1,000 kilometre run at the new Skechers store with Bharuccha and Kishan completing the final kilometre. The brand also donated shoes to the Youth Sports Welfare Foundation at the event.
 
“Participating in the Skechers Community Goal Challenge in Patna has been a truly rewarding experience,” said Ishan Kishan, who is also a Skechers brand ambassador. “The discussions around healthy lifestyles and supporting the dreams of underprivileged youth have been inspiring. As a cricketer, I understand the importance of fitness and community support. I am especially happy to do this in my hometown and proud to be associated with Skechers for this contribution towards the society.”
 
The Youth Sports Welfare Foundation works to promote sports development while simultaneously preserving nature. Skechers has already held Community Goal Challenge events in Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Pune, Siliguri, and Dehradun.
 
“Patna Community Goal Challenge has been an incredible experience for me,” said Bharuccha. “It’s deeply inspiring and it was wonderful to see the community come together to stay active and support such a worthy cause.
