Phoenix Marketcity in Chennai held a children and teens’ fashion show over the weekend to engage its community and showcase collections by over 20 brands. The runway show took place as part of its wider ‘Holiday Land’ event.
The ‘Junior Fashion Forward Fashion Show’ took place on May 19 and was designed to showcase the latest summer trends available at the mall while giving youngsters their first experience of the fashion industry. Over 20 brands including Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Max, Trends, and Lifestyle presented a mixture of summer styles and resort wear on the runway with a focus on western and fusion wear styles.
“The event’s highlight was undoubtedly the talented kids and teens who dazzled the runway in stunning outfits,” announced Phoenix Marketcity Chennai in a press release on May 20. “These young models received thunderous applause and cheers from a captivated audience. Their charm and enthusiasm made the show truly unforgettable, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.”
The Holiday Land event also featured a ‘Spellbee Finale’ on May 18 where children competed to show off their vocabulary and spelling abilities. The weekend event was designed to drive footfall in the mall and present it as a destination with a value beyond shopping in the age of e-commerce.
