E-commerce giant Flipkart plans to streamline its operations with the introduction of its new and revised rate card structure for its sellers. The changes will be made effective from May 18 and will include an updated shipping policy.
“This rate card redesign is part of Flipkart’s broader initiative to streamline operations and offer robust support to our vast network of sellers across India,” said Flipkart’s marketplace head and vice president Rakesh Krishnan, India Retailing reported.
The business aims to simplify its rate card structures as well as improve its economical FBF (fulfilment by flipkart) rates. The updated shipping policy is also designed to boost ease of doing business on the platform and encourage the onboarding of more sellers from a wide range of industries including fashion, beauty, and electronics.
Flipkart recently launched a number of promotional offers on its e-commerce platform for the summer season including launching a curated selection of clothing, accessories, and footwear from Rs 99, according to the business’ website. Flipkart has also put together a selection of personal care and beauty goods starting from Rs 99 with a dedicated segment on its platform homepage. The business also recently established a new fulfilment centre in Visakhapatnam to bolster its logistics network.
