Harry Styles has surprised fans after appearing with a new buzz cut hairstyle in an Instagram post.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, who soared to fame as a teenager with boyband One Direction, is better known for having a shaggy, side-swept hairstyle that evolved into more flowing locks when he entered his solo era.
However, the 29-year-old, who would have been the envy of many a man who is losing his hair as he approaches his thirties, has now shed it in favour of a simpler look.
The British pop star debuted the buzz cut in an Instagram post for Pleasing, the beauty and lifestyle brand he founded in November 2021.
The post reads: “Our Founder, Harry Styles, toasts the launch of Pleasing Fragrance with friends in London.”
The post confirms the fears of many who were concerned Styles had shaved his head after a grainy image, taken by a member of the public, began circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, last week.

Social media users responded with mixed feelings, with one saying: “Don’t talk to me i’m mourning harry styles’ hair.”
Another wrote: “I know Harry Styles has the right to do what he wishes with his hair, but man I miss those curls. He looked like a rockstar with them.”
However, some said he looked “cute” and “is absolutely stunning with or without hair”.
Styles is yet to publicly comment on his new haircut.
