Luxury natural skincare brand Shankara has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of a cleansing balm to its Gheesutra range.

The brand claims it to be first cleansing balm infused with 100 times washed ghee created using ancient ingredients like shata dhauta ghrita, castor oil, vitamin E, and rosemary oil.

The other products from the Shankara Gheesutra range include face emulsion, exfoliator, hand & foot cream and lip butter.

Commenting on the launch, Astha Katpitia, head of Shankara in a statement said, “Our Gheesutra cleansing balm is a tribute to the timeless tradition of ghee, an ingredient cherished and passed down through generations for its numerous benefits.”

“Crafted with the utmost care at our gaushala, where A2 ghee is meticulously washed 100 times, this balm combines ancient wisdom with modern skincare needs, offering a deeply nourishing and effective cleansing experience that honours and enhances the skin’s natural balance,” Katpitia added.

Shankara is owned by Sri Sri Tattva that sells natural beauty products and clothing among other FMCG products. It sells through its website and e-commerce marketplaces.
