John Jacobs Eyewear has launched a new collection named ‘JJ Rhapsody’ in partnership with Bollywood actor Vijay Varma who stars in a campaign for the range of sunglasses and eye glasses.
“Experience utilitarian and elegant eyewear from our coolest edition yet, JJ Rhapsody ft. Vijay Varma,” John Jacobs Eyewear announced on Facebook. The vintage style frames bring to mind Bollywood films of the 1970s and are designed to work from day to night.
The collection also features oversized, aviator style frames which Varma models with a retro style ensemble. By partnering with the actor, John Jacobs Eyewear aims to tap into his pan-India fan base to connect with young Indians.
As part of its commitment to creating glasses which are both stylish and durable, the brand has also launched a range of frames with built-in titanium wire cores. With soft acetate temple-tips and a flexible titanium nose bridge, the frames are designed to withstand major force, the brand announced on Facebook.
John Jacobs Eyewear is owned by eyewear and eye care giant Lenskart. The brand was launched in 2015 and is positioned in the affordable premium segment of the market. John Jacobs Eyewear works with design houses in Italy to create its sunglasses and eye glasses and sells them across Lenskart stores as well as online on its own e-commerce store.
