James Cameron wants to direct The Last Train From Hiroshima before Avatar 4.

James Cameron was triumphant over the success of the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water has announced that Pete wants to direct his project, The Last Train From Hiroshima, ahead of the release of his fourth film in the franchise. Avatar: The Way of the Water recently surpassed James’ other film, Titanic (1997), to become his third highest-grossing film worldwide.

The director has now become the only man who has three films that have made over $2 billion at the global box office. He can literally make any film that he wants to and continuing the Avatar films would keep adding to its profits. But the filmmaker is keen to adapt the book, The Last Train From Hiroshima: The Survivors Look Back, by author Charles R Pellegrino. James has also spoken to the late Tsutomu Yamaguchi, who was the only known survivor of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

The director also shared that all of his films are made for the big screen. At last month’s Golden Globe Awards, he told The media,” I’m tired of sitting on my butt. ” Titanic was re-released in cinemas around the world this month. Avatar: Way of Water grossed $2.2433 billion worldwide and Titanic  $242.8 million. The first Avatar movie (2009) topped the global box office with $2.92 billion.
