Global superstar Harry Styles has appointed his first CEO to head his fashion and lifestyle brand Pleasing. Shaun Kearney joins on July 17.
With 25 years’ experience as a creative leader, he most recently spent six years as chief design & merchandising officer and senior VP of fashion at Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand Goop.
From next month, Kearney will focus on Pleasing’s growth, “expanding our world to ensure we continue to share joyful moments with our kind, optimistic and creative community.”
Specifically, he’ll focus on “developing exciting, strategic and charitable partnerships to continue to expand our universe.”
Styles said Kearney’s “exceptional vision and extensive experience will be invaluable as we enter the next chapter of Pleasing. We are excited to continue to explore ideas, categories, and characters alongside him.”
And Kearney added: “We have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives and expand our product offering through many different lifestyle verticals and multiple channels of business.”
Founded by Styles, Pleasing is an extension of his universe and a platform to explore different ideas and collaborations that aims to “prioritise people and the planet.” Product-wise, it started with beauty and has since expanded into new beauty categories as well as adding apparel.
Kearney will join the growing Pleasing team that features Co-Creative Directors Harry Lambert and Molly Hawkins and Head of Marketing Sophie Kerr-Dineen.
