UK-based clothing brand French Connection has named Bollywood celebrity Siddhant Chaturvedi as its new brand ambassador for the Indian market. In his new role, Chaturvedi stars in a campaign for French Connection with fashion e-commerce platform Myntra.
The French Connection advertising campaign was created in collaboration with TVA Productions and Myntra, Expeditext reported. The campaign, which has launched across various regions and mediums, sees Chaturvedi model looks from French Connection’s summer collection including breezy button downs and smart casual trousers.
“Siddhant’s persona strikes a perfect balance between being versatile, young, cool, and spirited that perfectly fits with French Connection’s brand values,” said Myntra’s House of Brands senior vice president Nihal Rajan about the association, India Retailing Reported. “We are confident about the association with Siddhant strengthening the brand’s reach further and building resonance with the brand’s core audience.”
The campaign is designed to help French Connection connect with young Indians across metros and Tier 1 cities and the campaign’s theme is “find your connection”. In April this year, Myntra Jabong Private Limited acquired the master distribution rights for French Connection and its subsidiary FCUK in India.
“I am thrilled to represent a global marquee fashion brand like French Connection which has been synonymous with youth fashion over the years,” said Chaturvedi. “The brand’s design and attitude is Fun, Bold and Quirky which resonates with my persona and style. The ad film emphasises on expressing individuality through fashion choices and I am looking forward to a fruitful partnership as there is mutual admiration towards youth fashion.”
