Tech giant Apple will roll out its much-anticipated 5G network software upgrade to users in India starting next week.
This service will be available when Apple releases the iOS 16 beta software update. India announced the start of the 5G service on October 1st.
Airtel and Reliance Jio customers with iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and iPhone SE (3rd generation) models can take advantage of Apple’s beta software program to experience its 5G service.
The Apple Beta Software Program is open to anyone with a valid Apple ID and who agrees to the Apple Beta Software Program Agreement during the enrollment process.
The Apple Beta Software Program also allows you to try pre-release software and test the latest features before the software is widely available.
Users are invited to provide Apple with quality and usability feedback that will help Apple identify and fix issues and further improve Apple’s software.
To access the Apple beta software program, iPhone users can simply sign in to their devices to access the latest public beta and subsequent updates, including the 5G beta, available to Airtel and Jio customers next week. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, users can register their iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, HomePod mini, or Apple Watch to access the latest public betas and subsequent updates.
Back in October, Bharti Airtel also announced that it had rolled out `Airtel 5G Plus’ service in eight of its cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi. Reliance Jio also announced that it will launch high-speed 5G telecom services on Diwali this year in several major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
