House of Vitti India has completed one year in business this April and has established a retail presence both online and offline in the country. The label plans to continue to deepen its connection with Indian artisans as it grows.
“I feel deeply connected to our vision and mission,” said House of Vitti India’s brand founder Charru Sharrma in a press release. “Our blend of tradition and contemporary style resonates with my appreciation for both heritage and modern aesthetics. I am dedicated to ensuring that our footwear reflects our brand ethos of quality, authenticity, and comfort. It’s important to me to help people feel comfortable yet stylish in our footwear.”
Its first year in business saw House of Vitti India launch a product selection in multi-brand premium Indian fashion boutique Ensemble inside the DLF Emporio mall in New Delhi’s Vasant Kunj. The brand also launched a direct to customer e-commerce store to reach shoppers across India where designs retail from Rs 3,000.
The brand has created links with traditional Indian artisans to produce its products, notably its ‘Sheesh Mahal’, ‘Crystal Breeze’, and ‘Peacock Pink’ designs. The brand is keen to continue to foster artisan connections moving forward and is exploring techniques including mirror work and the application of golden dabka wires, crystals, sequins, glass beads, and pearls.
Charru Sharrma officially launched House of Vitti India on April 14, 2023 with the aim of creating handcrafted Juttis that embody tradition, innovation, and comfort. The brand is keen to position the classic Jutti has a shoe which mixes style with comfort and one which can be worn beyond occasions such as weddings as a women’s wardrobe staple.
