Over 60 Indian footwear and leather goods businesses will travel to Dubai to participate in the Dubai International Footwear and Leather Exhibition (DIFLEX) 2023. The trade show will run from December 11 to 13 and feature an India Pavilion.
The trade show is designed to continue the trend for swift growth in the Middle East and North Africa region’s footwear and leather goods industries, ET Bureau reported. The India Pavilion is being organised by the Council for Leather Exports, part of the Government of India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
DIFLEX 2023 is run by trade show organiser Verifair and will take place at the Dubai Festival Arena in Dubai’s Festival City. The event expects to welcome a total of 250 global footwear and leather goods businesses and showcase their latest designs to buyers, wholesalers, and retailers from around the world, facilitating networking and business deals.
“Despite inflationary pressures and the macro-economic environment, consumer spending on footwear and leather products have maintained a growth momentum, with the key demand markets of the UAE and Saudi Arabia contributing a major share,” said Verifair’s managing director Jeen Joshua, the Press Trust of India reported.
