Designer Wrickie Angrish presented bold glamour for both men and women at his runway show for Chandigarh Times Fashion Week. The show featured an array of cosmic cocktail dresses and actress Amayra Dastur walked the ramp as showstopper in a purple gown adorned with constellations.
“Fashion is an art form that allows us to express our creativity, and with the AW2023 collection, I aimed to blend classical charm with contemporary boldness,” said designer Wrickie Angrish in a press release on September 26. “Effortlessness and boldness are at the heart of my designs. I want people to feel both carefree and empowered when they wear my creations.”
The fashion show took place at Chandigarh’s Radisson Red Mohali and saw the designer mix structured silhouettes with fusion style details. Men’s blazers featured Angrish’s signature cheetah motifs and women’s dresses were given an edge with zip and metal hardware details. The colour palette of black and white with hints of blue, pink, and purple, gave the collection a modern feel with a number of more floaty red carpet looks thrown in for good measure.
Wrickie Angrish founded his eponymous brand in 2010 and has showcased his collections in locations including Qatar and the UK. Angrish’s autumn/ winter 2023 collection is designed to advance modern fashion while celebrating the charm of classical aesthetics, according to the brand.
